Fun at the Dog Park

It was a beautiful day on Sunday and the Seattle Rat Terrier Meetup group took advantage of the good weather by scheduling an event on Mercer Island at Luther Burbank's off leash small dog area. Zuni and Hobbs attended along with several other Washington New Rattitude foster dogs and had a blast.

Zuni, in true puppy form, enjoyed tearing around and wrestling and it was a great opportunity for her to socialize with both dogs and humans. When we first arrived she at the park, she was nervous and a little growly when she saw other people and dogs. Within minutes of getting into the fenced dog area she relaxed though and tore off for nearly 3 hours of fun.

It was good for Hobbs, but he did find it a little unnerving. He spent a lot of time sniffing aloong the fence line and finding good spots to pee on. He sniffed a lot of people, made friends with some of the other more reticent dogs, but was plenty happy when we walked back to the car.

Typically our dogs all have to ride in crates in the car but Zuni had an accident on the way up in her crate so on the drive home she got some lap time. She slept for the 40 minute drive home and arrived home rested and ready to start all over again.
